Why we built this

Como is a club with more history than most of the English-speaking world realises — founded in 1907, cradled by the lake, and back in Serie A after decades in the wilderness. Coverage in English, though, is patchy at best: a paragraph in a Serie A round-up here, a transfer rumour there. Nowhere for the diaspora — or curious neutrals — to sit down with the club properly.

So we made one. ForzaComo pulls fixture, player and match data hourly from Tattico, adds English-language match reports and long-reads, and tries to feel like the pub conversation we would have if the pub were on Lungolago Mafalda di Savoia and the Wi-Fi worked.

A note on independence: ForzaComo is an unofficial fan site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any commercial relationship with Como 1907. No club crest is used. All opinions are the founders' own.

The founders

Marco

Co-founder · Editor

Marco was raised in the Chicago suburbs on his grandfather's stories about pre-war Como — the trams, the lake mist, the tram to Villa Sacchi where the players did pre-season laps. His nonno left Cernobbio in 1958 and never really left it. Marco went back for the first time at nineteen, watched Como win in Serie C in a half-empty Sinigaglia, and has been hooked ever since. Days: he's a data engineer for a Chicago fintech. Nights and weekends: he's chasing down xG splits and writing about a full-back nobody in the U.S. has heard of.

Sofia

Co-founder · Features

Sofia grew up in Brooklyn, the daughter of a Bergamo-born father who defected to Como out of spite for Atalanta in the 1980s and has been paying for it emotionally ever since. She writes long-form for a living — travel, food, occasionally sport — and has been trying to place a Como piece with an English-language outlet for years without much luck. Eventually she decided the simplest thing to do was start her own outlet. She splits her time between New York and, whenever the transfer window is quiet enough, the lake.

Support ForzaComo

ForzaComo is independent. No club money, no publisher, no ads, no paywall. Every match report, long-read and guide is written, edited and fact-checked by us in our spare time, and we moderate the comments ourselves so the conversation stays worth having. Data feeds and hosting cost money too.

If you enjoy what we do and want to help keep it going, buying us a coffee makes a real difference. Grazie mille.
